The Expedition is in the process of seeking approval from the following organisations and National Governing Bodies:
The Dorset Expeditionary Society (www.dorsetexp.co.uk)
The Young Explorers Trust (www.theyet.org)
The Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme (www.theaward.org)
Status
The expedition will seek the approval of The Dorset Expeditionary Society. The Society does not run expeditions; it does, however, approve leaders and expedition plans. This venture is not a society, school, college or county expedition. Approval for the plans will also be sought from the Young Explorers’ Trust and The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme.
A realistic appreciation of the difficulties and dangers is essential before any expedition. Any programme can only be provisional and may be subject to change.
